A conversation with God

God is always speaking to us. Not that God is a chatterbox. But God’s angel messages and intuitions are ALWAYS guiding, guarding and loving us. We each have a unique relationship with a precious Creator.

We are either turning away from this utterance, or we are listening to it and going up higher.

This conversation with God — this prayer that never ceases — blesses us and lifts us up.

God already knows everything that we need and is happily providing it. So we don’t need to worry about if He will or will not do that. But prayer does change us — it opens us up to hearing His messages of love, patience and healing; prayer even heals the body through thought — a spiritual consciousness which is then manifest on the body as perfection, health and wholeness.

Prayer also guides and protects; we have all heard of countless instances of God’s protecting love guiding humans when and when not to do or say something.

What about the perpetrators of violence? Terrorists? Yes, all are capable of hearing the “still, small voice” of Life, Truth and Love guiding and protecting everyone with a pure sense of love, a courage to do what is good, and a humble and meek spirit that is willing to listen and find peaceful solutions for all humanity.

God’s love is bigger than fear. God’s love is more present and more attractive than messages of hate, lack, bitterness, resentment and violence.

Each of us are the spiritual and pure children of God. These healthy, loving messages of God are pouring on us all the time! We have to tune out the “static” and tune in to God. Then we will see everyone as rightly governed by God — our natural, normal state of being.

Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love.

So let’s all tune in to the messages of Love that come from God and that lead us to a feeling of peace and reveal solutions.

Sticky paper

I recently had a mouse in my house. We thought the cats would solve the problem but after several weeks we purchased live traps. A few days later we caught the mouse and released it in the woods. Problem solved!

I discussed this issue with a family member who shared her stories of catching mice, including the use of sticky paper.

I’m personally not a fan of the sticky paper method, but thinking about this sticky paper did prove to be a useful analogy in my spiritual practice.

I was praying during the church service this last Sunday. It was uplifting, inspiring and healing. However, now and then, these thoughts would come out of no where: feeling personally offended by a situation, rehearsing another uncomfortable situation, etc.

This was my response: there is no “sticky paper” in my consciousness to trap these thoughts. I could simply let them go — no reaction, no distraction. I did let them go and continued on with my prayers. And I felt so uplifted!

This is a process I would highly recommend to anyone! You could also think of the analogy of throwing spaghetti noodles at the wall — in this case, we don’t want them to stick!

Let God do the talking

It might seem like there is empty space that needs to be filled up with activity and words. However, since God — divine Spirit and Life — fill all space, there really is no “vacuum” or void. Each moment is already filled with a divine activity. Each consciousness is already filled with messages of Love, health, hope and faith.

Tuning in to these messages and activity with our spiritual sense really makes us feel fulfilled and satisfied. After all, if each moment were filled with divine messages of love for you, wouldn’t you feel full and satisfied? 🙂

More human thinking isn’t needed; more divine reflection is. We can reflect one who and what God is; we can reflect on the spiritual nature of man; we can reflect on eternal Life — the timeless spiritual state of being; we can feel the peace, which comes from unconditional grace and Love.

Spiritual listening is an active faculty we can utilize each moment. It will open you up to new opportunities! It will give you new thoughts and views that you had never considered before! It will make you feel peace and open new doorways of progress!

Enjoy the divine peace, messages and serenity of Love today. It is everywhere.
