Let God do the talking

It might seem like there is empty space that needs to be filled up with activity and words. However, since God — divine Spirit and Life — fill all space, there really is no “vacuum” or void. Each moment is already filled with a divine activity. Each consciousness is already filled with messages of Love, health, hope and faith.

Tuning in to these messages and activity with our spiritual sense really makes us feel fulfilled and satisfied. After all, if each moment were filled with divine messages of love for you, wouldn’t you feel full and satisfied? 🙂

More human thinking isn’t needed; more divine reflection is. We can reflect one who and what God is; we can reflect on the spiritual nature of man; we can reflect on eternal Life — the timeless spiritual state of being; we can feel the peace, which comes from unconditional grace and Love.

Spiritual listening is an active faculty we can utilize each moment. It will open you up to new opportunities! It will give you new thoughts and views that you had never considered before! It will make you feel peace and open new doorways of progress!

Enjoy the divine peace, messages and serenity of Love today. It is everywhere.

Let the light in to your consciousness!

Today I was feeling overwhelmed by a set of circumstances. I couldn’t seem to lift my thought above the limiting situation and into the spiritual realm of hope and divine possibilities.

So, I decided to pray, and I read an article called “Focus on the silver and wheat”. The author writes,

“Even as I fretted about these situations, though, divine Soul’s strength kept coming back in response. Id’ strengthen my mental position with what was at first a meek, humble affirmation that God loves us, that God knows we are good, that all is well, that we all deserve good in our lives. Eventually, the more I pulled myself up with these ideas (holding thought, as Mary Baker Eddy reminds on page 261 of Science and Health, ‘steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true’), the more I strengthened my hold on the substance of Christ’s teachings: the wheat, the silver, the stability, the abundant grace for all humanity.” (Christian Science Sentinel, 2.13.12)

What the author wrote about was exactly what I needed to do!  So I did and this is what I discovered:

Each divine thought (or “angel message”) acts as a light in our consciousness. If we are troubled with fear, worry, or regret there is a lot of darkness in our thought.  Divine ideas (with their signs of peace, hope and assurance of ever-present Love) are a light that casts a warm glow in the darkness. Turning on one light, or letting in one good thought, reminds us of the good.  Ahhh…that feels good!

So we let in another and another and…more light! Soon our whole consciousness is filled with light.  We remember that joy, happiness, health, and abundance are natural in our experience.  We let go of the problem and in this way we turn it over to God.  This is called “letting go and letting God” or as Christ Jesus said: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)

So, the next time you feel like you’re in the dark, turn on the light!  Let in one good thought and see how the light multiplies.  This gets “you” out of the way, and leaves radiant room for God to supply His spiritual solutions.

“Getting right” with God

Healing is really about re-orienting your relationship with God. Whatever the problem is – financial, health, relationships – it is just a signal/an opportunity to turn to God and learn about your spiritual, perfect relationship with Him/Her.

What does this mean? Living a God-centered life and having God-centered thinking. Why? Because God’s thoughts are love and peace; God’s direction is productive and successful; God’s relationships are unselfish and loving; God’s life is healthy and active; God’s presence is calm and comforting.

When we are centered around God, we reflect these qualities in our experience.

One could say that the first and most important thing in life is loving and striving to understand God better. So put your thought and energy into it. Make this your priority. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Jesus said this, and he also said the two great commandments are (1) love God and (2) love your neighbor as yourself. See how loving God comes first? It’s not (1) love your neighbor and (2) love God.

We deserve to feel God’s love and presence so tangibly each day. This is a feeling of hope, faith and peace; expecting good from God; feeling His/Her intuition leading you throughout the day. We feel restful and safe in this Love. When we reach this point (and actively pray and study to keep growing) we will be able to love our neighbor more effectively. Our neighbor will then feel more satisfied.

So if you haven’t taken time to do this in a while, take some time today to meditate on “Be still and know that I am God.”
