Drop the weight and stress of the day

One of my favorite passages to pray with throughout the day is:

let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1)

This gets my thought off the weight and burden and keeps me focused on God, infinite Spirit. When I keep my thought on the side of God, good, then everything is lighter, fresher, and freer. Limitations begin to fall away. When we align our thought in accord with God, everything lines up. That’s why this passage is an important reminder for me to keep focused on God — big picture — and not get burdened by the details and demands of the day.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:29)

Jesus says that this spiritual yoke is easy and light. When we keep our minds focused on Christ, our whole being is filled with that divine, healing, light that brings everything — every thought and detail — in accord with Christ. Bringing every thought into captivity with Christ (2 Cor 10:5).

This aligns our thought and our day. So be present. Focus on the kingdom of God within. Peace and harmony are within. One of the most freeing things Jesus said is that the kingdom of heaven is within us (Luke 17:21). It’s not out there — it’s not outside of you.

You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world. (Matthew 5:8)

So drop that weight, burden, and stress. God loves you. He has given you the keys to the kingdom — the reign of harmony, bliss, and love in your day. All the love you pray for, want and need is right here.

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. (1 John 4:16)

Living the love of God makes you feel that presence of grace — the Holy Spirit. It imbues your life and mind with healing power, peace, and love. It fills your family, home, and neighborhood with the tangible feeling and presence of agape — universal, divine Love.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18)

We live in the abundance of the love and grace of infinite Spirit, God, here and now.

Acquaint yourself with God and be at peace (Job 22:21).

This consciousness of God fills us with peace and rest.

Quiet prayer

There are few things better or more enriching to me than silent prayer. This is a quiet communion with God where I listen for thoughts from the Holy Spirit. These spiritual insights refresh and uplift me.

When there is so much noise in the world, it is essential to be still and remember our relationship with God and who we are. For me, this includes being reminded of my eternal, pure spiritual identity. And being reminded of God’s goodness as Mother Love.

When things are rough or chaotic, take moments to be still. This quietness stills the turmoil of material thought. It tunes out the static and tunes in to the divine. This tuning in is essential! It can never be overvalued! It gives us the fullness of life and richness of health. It brings harmony to our relationships and our day. It saves us from wasting time and resources.

So feel the energy of divine inspiration strengthening you today and make you feel like new. Be gentle and kind to those around you and yourself. See the light of God!

Repost: Freshness from divinity saves us from a rut

children-486980_960_720There is so much that is fresh and new and exciting to kids.  But what about to us as adults? Do we express the same vitality, joy and exuberance that children do? Many times it may seem like that kind of thought may be lacking. After all, we have already experienced so much of what they are just beginning to!

How do we bring that childlike joy, energy and enthusiasm to each day? I’ve found that gaining a new insight about Spirit each day makes me feel alive and creative again. It makes me feel whole and complete and excited about the day. It gives me fresh insights that break the dullness of routine with the spontaneity of Life and Love (synonyms for God). It also brings a fresh, new perspective on how to tackle challenges.

One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity.

dog-937193_960_720These moments of divine consciousness are refreshing! They are like breathing the fresh air of infinite Spirit! We can humble ourselves to be open and receptive to the new ideas that are coming from Spirit, God, each day.

We live in an age of Love’s divine adventure to be All-in-all.

It’s a joyful adventure! 🙂
