Repost: Freshness from divinity saves us from a rut

children-486980_960_720There is so much that is fresh and new and exciting to kids.  But what about to us as adults? Do we express the same vitality, joy and exuberance that children do? Many times it may seem like that kind of thought may be lacking. After all, we have already experienced so much of what they are just beginning to!

How do we bring that childlike joy, energy and enthusiasm to each day? I’ve found that gaining a new insight about Spirit each day makes me feel alive and creative again. It makes me feel whole and complete and excited about the day. It gives me fresh insights that break the dullness of routine with the spontaneity of Life and Love (synonyms for God). It also brings a fresh, new perspective on how to tackle challenges.

One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity.

dog-937193_960_720These moments of divine consciousness are refreshing! They are like breathing the fresh air of infinite Spirit! We can humble ourselves to be open and receptive to the new ideas that are coming from Spirit, God, each day.

We live in an age of Love’s divine adventure to be All-in-all.

It’s a joyful adventure! 🙂

This is a re-post of a post written by me last year.

What is it that really satisfies us?

Satisfaction. What is it and where does it come from?

Dictionary.com defines satisfaction as fulfillment and gratification; gratification is defined as reward, recompense, or gratuity.

To me, satisfaction is a feeling — a feeling of reward —perhaps something that comes from a worthy activity.

I have looked to material things, as most humans have, for satisfaction only to find them fleeting at best.

When I align my thoughts with God — and make my motive to express God — I find the greatest satisfaction even in the little things I do.

Metaphysics resolves things into thoughts, and exchanges the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul.1

When I translate “things into thoughts” and “exchange the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul”, I find a whole new way to feel satisfied because I am aligning myself with the unchanging spiritual law the exists.

craft-737737_960_720This morning I woke up feeling uninspired about the day. I spent time in the morning being quiet, listening to God and aligning my thought with the spiritual reality. I don’t recall all the ideas I prayed with but by then end of this quiet time I was feeling inspired, happy, loving and ready for the day. I baked cookies with my son and we did a new craft project. The morning was so full of kindness, loveliness and freshness. I was so grateful! I loved the motivation of creativity and desire to share in something together. craft-737739__180You could say we turned the “things” — cookies, chocolate chips, glue, scissors, paper — into “thoughts” and saw they were actually vehicles for Spirit, God, to be expressed in joy, peace and creativity.

I find prayer to be the most satisfying activity and a necessity because it opens up windows to God — inspired views that fuel us. It lifts us up to see that who we really are transcends the material senses. cookies-960898_960_720It enables us to see true spiritual reality as a present state and to witness the hand of God in the smile of a child, a gentle breeze, the affection from a dog. It gives us the ability to see God in all that we do — to see the divine sparkle — which shows us we are all loved and spiritual right now.

Whatever we are doing — helping someone find a resolution for a violent situation to baking cookies or visiting with a friend — we can have the divine satisfaction that comes from aligning our view with God — seeing true spiritual substance is always present and perfect.

Rejoice! Now we are the sons and daughters…

Inspiration — we’ve all had it and we’ve probably all felt like we lost it at one point or another.

Recently, I was going through a stint of feeling uninspired. After talking with a friend, though, I realized that inspiration is always present.  Remembering that I had been inspired before inspired me to see that I could feel the inspiration again — right now!

Inspiration is the result of God; Immanuel or “God with us”; it is the result of divine Love always wanting us to see Her and know Her. The “Holy Spirit” is the animating divine presence, power and activity of our lives. It is what makes us feel that we know (spiritually) even as we are known (spiritually).

Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. (1 Corinthians 13:12 ESV)

The “then” is now! Now are we the sons and daughters of God! (I John 3:2)

When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth, And our daughters as corner-stones hewn after the fashion of a palace; (Psalms 144:12 ASV)

We are those sons and daughters now — don’t accept anything lower. You are spiritual and you are at one with the divine Spirit — the Holy Spirit — leading, animating and giving you divine direction here and now.

We can not be separated from the spiritual understanding of who we are here and now.

You are loved! You are blessed! You are polished like a palace. Rejoice!
