Divine healing–an awakening in consciousness

Recognizing God has the power to heal us (what can’t God do?) enables us to be receptive and expectant of receiving spiritual ideas that awaken us to physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Divine healing is actually an awakening–a realization–of the facts that already exist, namely that you are one with God, infinite Spirit is your life, and you are loved and spiritual.

Recognizing your spiritual identity and God’s loving nature as a present reality awakens you to healing. These thoughts–messages from God–are then imaged forth on the body and in your physical experience.

Divine healing is natural and normal and has wonderful side effects such as a feeling of light, a closeness with Deity, a present awareness of the spiritual facts of being, and a calm and peaceful consciousness.

In this testimony, I share how divine insight and prayer led to healing. A healing of cold symptoms took place in just a few moments, which you can read in full detail here

I woke up one morning with cold symptoms. Before I got out of bed, I decided to pray in order to listen to ideas from God that I knew would heal me. Immediately, this message came to mind: Health is the consciousness of harmony…more

How does Christian Science heal?

http://pixabay.com/en/mountain-freedom-sunset-pleasure-372016/Christian Science is the natural law of God — good, health, happiness — operating in your life.

You were not created by material DNA, heredity or history.

You are spiritual because you were created by God, who is Spirit.

It is almost so simple that we overlook it!

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” II Cor 13

“To being rightly is to end rightly.” So, if  you reason from the premise that you are created spiritually and that God’s message of goodness, safety and health is constantly defending you, uplifting you and healing you then you can be completely free from sin and disease.

The foundation of mortal discord is a false sense of man’s origin. To begin rightly is to end rightly. Every concept which seems to begin with the brain begins falsely. Divine Mind is the only cause or Principle of existence. Cause does not exist in matter, in mortal mind, or in physical forms. ” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 262)

You don’t have to accept that there is a material law which can make you sick.

This is the “mist” referred to in the Bible. Rise above the mist!

Don’t accept fear, ignorance or sin as a reality for you.

God made you spiritually therefore you can not be afraid.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalms 23:4 NIV)

God made you to know Him — to know His eternal laws of health and goodness for you and your family — therefore you can’t be made to believe that there is a material law that governs you.

I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds. (Hebrews 10:16 NIV)

God made you pure and childlike, therefore “missing the mark” (sin) can not control you; you have complete satisfaction and authority in God.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
 (Romans 8:2 KJV)

Christian Science — these divine, eternal, and universal laws of God, good, health and harmony — govern you, me and everyone.

Take possession of your consciousness, rise above the mist and experience God’s loving control over your health and life.

You will be made whole! And you can help others recognize their wholeness, too.

Time management – improve moments!

The past couple weeks I’ve been thinking about time management.  I know there are numerous human methods and theories about this; however, I went for some spiritual ideas, that I know to be true and helpful, when I was confronted with this dilemma.

There was a day, recently, when I wondered how I could accomplish all the things that needed to get done. I listened in prayer for divine guidance.  Immediately, an article entitled Improve Your Time by Mary Baker Eddy came to thought.  The author, who discovered the system of healing, Christian Science, wrote:

“All successful individuals have become such by hard work; by improving moments before they pass into hours…They spend no time in sheer idleness, in talking when they have nothing to say, in building aircastles or floating off on the wings of sense…

Success in life depends upon persistent effort, upon the improvement of moments more than upon any other one thing. A great amount of time is consumed in talking nothing, doing nothing, and indecision as to what one should do. If one would be successful in the future, let him make the most of the present.”

I love this idea: that success is dependent on moments – on being consciously aware and focused every moment.

Instead of letting my long to-do list rehearse in my mind, I just focused on improving each moment.  This resulted in my being fully engaged in each activity I was doing and able to stay on task.  I finished the day with time leftover and could work on some other projects I like doing.

Using “improve your moments” as my mantra throughout my day has made me more productive, less lethargic and given me a greater sense of fulfillment and purpose.

I am so grateful for this simple practice – improving moments before they turn into hours – which makes such a difference in our lives and shapes our success.
