Put more weight on your spiritual side

Spiritual sense is the discernment of spiritual good.

We don’t hear the words “spiritual sense” used too often, but spiritual sense is essential to our peace and wellbeing. Spiritual sense is how we perceive beauty, goodness, love, affection, tenderness, satisfaction, and fulfillment.  These are spiritual qualities and because we are ultimately spiritual beings we have the capacity to use, see, and feel them now.

Spiritual sense is a conscious, constant capacity to understand God.

Spiritual sense is how we perceive the divine nature. It’s how we perceive the transcendent reality that is above the physical, material senses. This is important because everyone wants lives that reflect peace, health, wellbeing, and satisfaction. Gaining a daily dose of spiritual sense helps us have a consciousness that is uplifted and receptive to perceiving peace and wellbeing.

Spiritual sense, contradicting the material senses, involves intuition, hope, faith, understanding, fruition, reality.

When a consciousness that is imbued with spiritual sense reflects on the body, it manifests health, holiness, and wellbeing. Why is this so important? Because thinking and living with our spiritual sense releases anxiety, fear, and stress. It assures us of our oneness with God, divine Life, Truth, and Love. It shows us that we can never be separated from that Love no matter what the physical senses say. And as we hold to the spiritual fact, the wisdom, confidence, and courage that our spiritual sense communicates will take over. As we believe God more, and believe in physicality less, we tip our mental and spiritual scale. This allows God to tip the scale on the side of the divine and it brings blessings, healing, happiness, wholeness, and peace in our lives.

Material sense does not unfold the facts of existence; but spiritual sense lifts human consciousness into eternal Truth.

Awe-moments filled with inspiration

Recently, I was on a walk through the woods — a favorite part of my day — and I was struck with awe. 20181112_141647The way the light shines, the color of a leaf, the sparkle of the snow. These are little moments of awe and wonder. Sometimes I pause for these moments — and I’m learning to pause more and more, to slow down, and really allow myself to take in the inspiration and beauty of the moment.

O longing hearts that wait on God
Through all the world so wide;
He knows the angels that you need,
And sends them to your side,
To comfort, guard and guide. –Violet Hay

If you are anything like me, you relish these moments, too! These moments are full of inspiration — a feeling, an intuition, a connection with God. They heal. Pause. Breathe. Feel God’s presence and love. Give gratitude. Smile.

Be still, and know that I am God. Psalms 46:10

Health and healing

We all want to experience greater health and healing in our lives. It is a natural desire to experience spirituality in a way that blesses, heals, and inspires.

How do we heal? By allowing the presence, light and love of God to fill your consciousness so there isn’t room for anything else.

Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual, — neither in nor of matter, — and the body will then utter no complaints.1

When we allow our consciousness to be transformed by God, we can be healed. Healing happens when we see what God sees! God sees perfection, harmony, peace, and wholeness. God knows you as an infinitely beloved and perfect child. You are made in His/Her image! God is delighted with you and in you! God wants only perfection, goodness, and grace for you.

When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought.2

God has given you power and authority to resist anything that isn’t good. You can resist and overcome sickness, limitation, or fear.

Stand porter at the door of thought….Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action. Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man.3

Keep your consciousness focused on Spirit — on the presence and power of God’s love — and Spirit will form you anew!

Holding your thought to the good and the true, Spirit will form you anew.4
