Repost: Freshness from divinity saves us from a rut

children-486980_960_720There is so much that is fresh and new and exciting to kids.  But what about to us as adults? Do we express the same vitality, joy and exuberance that children do? Many times it may seem like that kind of thought may be lacking. After all, we have already experienced so much of what they are just beginning to!

How do we bring that childlike joy, energy and enthusiasm to each day? I’ve found that gaining a new insight about Spirit each day makes me feel alive and creative again. It makes me feel whole and complete and excited about the day. It gives me fresh insights that break the dullness of routine with the spontaneity of Life and Love (synonyms for God). It also brings a fresh, new perspective on how to tackle challenges.

One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity.

dog-937193_960_720These moments of divine consciousness are refreshing! They are like breathing the fresh air of infinite Spirit! We can humble ourselves to be open and receptive to the new ideas that are coming from Spirit, God, each day.

We live in an age of Love’s divine adventure to be All-in-all.

It’s a joyful adventure! 🙂

This is a re-post of a post written by me last year.

Turn the ordinary into the extraordinary today!

Turn the ordinary into the extraordinary today!

We can do that by living Christ – the message of love from God to all men, women and children.

Bringing the Christ — the Spirit of Truth and Love – into all your conversations and interactions  makes today a truly special day.

I love to think back on moments where I have felt the Christ — the transforming power of God’s love that Jesus so perfectly embodied. Sometimes it’s been on Christmas day, so full of a spiritual love for others, the love of family and friends. Sometimes it has been at a summer camp where the beautiful voices of our counselors fill the air as they sing hymns while we lay in bed falling asleep. Other times it has been in the innocent, sinless, childlike joy that comes from doing fun activities that are wholesome and good.

The message of Christ is that each of us is loved right where we are. Christly love is such a contrast to the brusqueness and busyness of some days. But we can take pause and know that there is nothing more powerful than Christ love and that it is here today healing, uplifting and blessing the world.

I know that we all have moments of encountering God’s unconditional love. These moments are the reality. These moments of glimpsing the divine presence and allness and goodness are what we live for — they annihilate discord, sickness, fear, lack sometimes in even just a moment.

One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity.1

Don’t we all want more of this “eternity” — a sense of concrete goodness that will never end? Absolutely! We can choose to live this spiritual reality right now by Christ’s love being so real to us that nothing else matters.

Sometimes we have to work for it — fight for those moments of serenity, satisfaction, peace, of knowing how loved you are and your colleagues and friends and family are. The “mist” would try to obscure the view, to hide who we really are as the Sons and Daughters of Light. But don’t believe it! Take the time to pray, meditate or feel the connection with the Divine presence, the special and unique way that Christ speaks specifically to you. And then, once you feel filled up with that love, share it with others! Give it like a Christmas gift to brighten someone’s day. It is the best gift we can ever give.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
you are still with me!

Psalms 139:17, 18 NLT

More than a praising of our mortal ego, Spirit is letting us know that each of our identities, as the spiritual child of God,  is deeply loved by God. Living in God, for God fills all space, is all that we do. So we can let God inform all our thoughts about ourselves.

No self-hatred.
No self-condemnation.
No fear.
No limitation.

In the same way that you look at a precious little baby, God is looking at you, His precious little baby.

Unspotted.
Unblemished.
You are not a sinner.

God is seeing your identity as spotless, pure and free always!

Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.
