Letting go…Forgiving yourself and others

Let go of any past, any shame, or regret, thinking you were right, thinking you were wrong, or mistake.  Just let go.  Walk in the path of harmony, peace, joy, forgiveness and freedom.  It is within all of us – each of us.  There is only one Ego – one Being, divine, and all is One with it – in connection with it.  “There is but one real attraction, that of Spirit.  The pointing of the needle to the pole symbolizes this all-embracing power or attraction of God, divine Mind.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 102)

Let’s go a little further with understanding what Ego is:

“I, or Ego. – Divine Principle; Spirit; Soul; incorporeal, unerring, immortal, and eternal Mind. There is but one I, or Us, but one divine Principle, or Mind, governing all existence; man and woman unchanged forever in their individual characters, even as numbers which never blend with each other, though they are governed by one Principle. All the objects of God’s creation reflect one Mind, and whatever reflects not this one Mind, is false and erroneous…” (Ibid, P. 588)

Let go of any false sense of “you”, which is separate from the one Being, or Consciousness.  There are no limitations, no inequality, no lack, and no loss of balance.  There is only the One Ego, divine Being and It’s creation, or manifestation.

When we are governed by the One Ego or divine Being, we are in harmony with those around us.  We are in harmony with boundless bliss and joy.  We are in harmony with having each of our needs met and supplied, moment-by-moment.

We feel centered and balanced and just, untouched or affected.  Any seeming “attack” just rolls off like water on a duck’s back.

This is being in accord with the First Commandment: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)  Don’t worship or praise or give your attention to anything else but “me” – the God of harmony, peace, forgiveness, and charity. Definitely pray about and heal each situation, each circumstance in your own thought.  Thought is where real change happens and it blesses you as well as others.  You will feel the effect; you will feel the needed change.

This is actually the source of our health – where our health comes from – God.  This One Mind, or Spirit governs us righteously.  And following this reveals who we are as His/Her children and with divine rights: intelligence, brilliance, happiness, health and freedom.

So let’s “let go” of anything that hinders us from feeling and cherishing our oneness with Spirit.  Spirit, Love has already blessed us, and we can rejoice in this blessing. Let go of anything that is separating you from feeling your oneness now.

Our Relationship With God

Each of us has an unchanging, permanent relationship with God.  God loves us, nurtures and cares for us, and supplies all that we need.  The Bible says, “God is of purer eyes than to behold evil” (KJV, Heb 1:13).  God is pure Spirit, divine Love, who is all intelligence, goodness, and perfection.  God is ever-present and constant in our lives.  In fact, God is our life.  God is Life itself therefore Life is free, infinite, spontaneous, and not bogged down by worry and fear.

Generally, every evil suggestion that comes to our thought is a lie about our relationship with God.  And being aware, or conscious, of this relationship naturally destroys the lie, which dissipates fear with peace and love and an assured sense of harmony.

When we feel our relationship with God, we can’t feel anything else.  We only feel the love, peace, joy and dominion that God is imparting to us each moment.

Mary Baker Eddy describes God as Mother, and coined the phrase Father-Mother as describing God’s whole nature.  She recognized God as Love and thus described God as representing Mother Love that we each know and feel in our hearts.

By constantly communing with this Mother Love in our heart and thoughts throughout the day, we are able to shield any evil suggestion or fear of limitation, ill-health, or lack.

Our relationship with God becomes the most important thing to us, which follows Jesus command “thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength” (Mark 12:30).

The Book of Deuteronomy has many references to this:

“love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway” (Deut 11:1).

“love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days” (Deut 30:20).

“I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it” (Deut 30:16).

This is really a protection and blessing to us.  It keeps us safe because it guards our thought, our life, our motives, and the direction in which we walk.  It in turn blesses everyone around us.  “…All whom your thoughts rest upon are thereby benefited” (Miscellany, Eddy, p. 210).

When we feel secure in our relationship with God we are kept safe, prosperous, fulfilled and satisfied.  Our relationships are effortless and harmonious because we have all the happiness and completeness we need in God.  Our bodies work more concordantly because we recognize God as Life and therefore the source and cause of our health.  And when we are on the pathway with Him/Her we can never be sick or lack what we need.  We have more fulfilling work because we are about our “Father’s business” (Luke 2:49) or our Mother’s business in this case – the business of loving and giving, of expressing our Mother Love.  “…Freely ye have received, freely give” (Matt 10:8).

So let’s start each day with our relationship to God – with our Mother Love – and see how that blesses our day and everyone around us.

True Man

Who are what is man and what is man’s purpose?

Well, man is the son and daughter of God.  God created man to express Himself, to glorify Himself.  To do so, God created man in His image and likeness (Gen. 26:1).  Therefore, man has the mind of God (Phil. 2:5), the motive of God, the will of God leading, guiding and directing him.  Man can’t have an action or activity separate from God.  Man is lead and governed by good alone, since God is good.  Man is impelled by Spirit which is above and beyond the earth and, therefore, limitation.

Who or when is this man?  This man is now, right now, the only real and true man.  God created only one man, not two (one to be immortal and one to be destroyed).  No, the immortal, eternal and spiritual man is the only man that there is right now.  And we can live this in our lives and we can see this and express this in others.
