You are mine

“You are mine” and “You are special”. Sweet books by Max Lucado that we read to our little one. They are sweet because they remind us that what the world says of us can’t really stick if we don’t believe it. We can daily listen to our Maker, the Creator of the universe, that tells us how perfect, special and good He made us.

There is a lot of noise in the world. Clanging cymbals of doubt, lack, remorse, uncertainty. But we can counteract this by dwelling in the “secret place of the Most High”, listening to the thoughts that God gives us.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.*

God has only good for you and that goodness exists right now within you. Good is the truth about you now and forever.

The Bible tells about the disciples hearts that burning within them while they talked with Jesus (as he illuminated the Scriptures to them).

Don’t we all want out hearts to burn within us through an inspiration and spiritual understanding? God says “before you were in the womb, I knew you” and “the very hairs on your head are all numbered.”

Each of us is infinitely valued, needed and special to God. Each us has an individuality that is safe and pure. Each of us is spiritual, made in the image and likeness of Life and Love itself.

*Jeremiah 29:11

Live who God made you to be as His image and likeness today

I’m so grateful for all the ways that Spirit, God, is moving throughout the universe.

Last night I watched a documentary called Father of Lights that shared how a few individuals are living their faith. They are healing the sick, transforming the hearts and minds of men and women and just living the love of Jesus in an inclusive way. It didn’t seem to me to be gifts that were especially given to them, but rather the Spirit that is given to all of us through Christ.

I am continually searching and praying for ways to expand my faith and expression of God’s gifts and talents. There was one couple filmed that was living a happy life in a big house with 3 kids and the husband was working for a bank. These are all wonderful things, however, they sold everything and moved to China. They opened an orphanage for children that were “unadoptable” because of various tragedies or illnesses that had happened to them. They felt so fulfilled in their new lives because they were living a life of service, showering these little ones with love, and feeling so filled up with love as a result.

Sometimes our faith may lead us to do crazy things! What a beautiful sense of devotion to Christ that has led and blessed them with fulfillment. And I’m sure that Christ won’t stop there and will continue leading!

As Christians, we may have been asked to leave our comfort zone. To find security in the everlasting Kingdom of Heaven that is universal and ever-present. To live a life that is truly satisfying because you feel, know and see that you are made as the image of God and able to manifest His power and glory.

He is the reflection of God’s glory and the exact likeness of his being, and he holds everything together by his powerful word. — Hebrews 1:3 ISV

This applies to all of us! Live who God made you to be as His image and likeness today — the expression of light, love, joy, health, freedom and harmony! Nothing can stop you. No evil or darkness can stand in your way. You are living at one with the freedom of Christ now.

Citizens of the world, accept the “glorious liberty of the children of God,” and be free! —Mary Baker Eddy

Thought of the day

I love to pray with these healing words from this beautiful hymn by Peter B. Allen . . .

You are God’s purpose,
His great design.
Beautiful, blameless,
His child divine.
Holding your thought to the good and the true,
Spirit will form you anew.
Rise up and walk!
God made you free, born of His liberty.
Carefree and strong,
you are His song,
perfect for all to see.

Peter B Allen, Rise Up, Christian Science Hymn 453:1

Such power comes to our consciousness when we claim, accept and live these ideas!
