Cultivating an assurance of God’s care

Sometimes, I feel like I must have it all figured out in order to be able to help someone or even to take a step forward in my life. But it is really God, the divine Source, who is providing the answers and healing for me and all.

God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

It’s so comforting to know that God, divine Spirit, is the source of our strength and our supply. We have strength, supply, order, harmony, beauty and goodness because we reflect God. After all, Jesus said that he couldn’t do anything without God (John 5:30).
Every human thought must turn instinctively to the divine Mind as its sole centre and intelligence.

God is the Source of intelligence. God is the Source of good ideas and action. God is the Source of love and compassion. In other words, can we do anything without Him/Her? If you need a creative solution for a project, God provides it. If you need a resolution and harmony in a relationship, God will provide it. God, divine Mind, will provide everything we need, no matter how big or small. Here are 6 ways to cultivate your innate assurance of God’s care and they make all the difference:

  • Turn to God in prayer (multiple times each day)
  • Get acquainted with God’s Word, and other inspiring texts, through a daily study of them
  • Listen for the still small voice of divine intuition leading you
  • Have an open and receptive heart to new ideas
  • Have patience 🙂
  • Live love

Be still, and know that I am God!

Divine unfoldment

Goodness and progress are always unfolding in our lives, but sometimes we may really want to see how it’s all going to turn out! That’s the nature of the human mind.

The human mind is opposed to God and must be put off, as St. Paul declares.

God isn’t an anthropomorphic “old man” high in the sky, though we often use human terms to describe Him. Really God is more of an infinite, all-embracing, impartial, divine Love and Substance that is the Source of all. This Substance is what makes up you and me, our divine essence and nature.

I love seeing all the flowers blossom in spring. They are fantastic and the aroma is wonderful! Seeing a tree filled with hundreds of delicate blossoms helps me to see God’s love, who gives us those tiny little buds and blossoms for Her delight.

It is Love which paints the petal with myriad hues, glances in the warm sunbeam, arches the cloud with the bow of beauty, blazons the night with starry gems, and covers earth with loveliness.

We don’t worry that the buds won’t open up; we trust they will open in just the right way and at just the right time. So it is with life. When we are praying for something, we can trust that spiritual desire to God. We can listen to God telling us that we are loved, that we are made in Her likeness to shine Her beautiful light, and patiently wait for Love to unfold Her blessing in our lives.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Perfect peace

Today I was feeling mentally unsettled.

It didn’t stop until I read the headlines about North Korea’s latest missile creations and I prayed for peace regarding the situation. I could see and feel the peace that is impartial and everywhere, governing everyone all the time. My prayers silently affirmed that a peaceful state is the only real state of Mind governing every leader and action. I could feel the Holy Spirit giving me a sense of peace and annihilating fear.

The peace that I had been longing to feel deeply came to me.

https://pixabay.com/en/amazing-beautiful-beauty-blue-736886/Where does this sense of peace come from? The first chapter of Genesis in the Bible tells us God is a perfect and peaceful Creator who created all in His image and likeness. He completes His creation in seven days and then rests. We are assured that His creation is very good (see Genesis 1:31). What a sense of peace! He feels satisfaction, completeness, joy and rest all in one! And so can we!

One the Mind and Life of all things,
For we live in God alone;
One the Love whose ever-presence
Blesses all and injures none.

I’m grateful for the interconnectedness of our thinking. Glimpsing the spiritual fact in our prayers for ourselves heals all humanity. And when we pray for others, we feel the effect of these prayers because we are being a witness to the reality that this perfect Creator created. Such a blessing!

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
