Everyone is in the exact right place

Recently, my husband and I contemplated the possibility of moving. We explored different areas, schools, etc. However, after doing the research, we reached the conclusion that we are happy where we live and we are in the right place for us.

This led me to the spiritual conclusion that everyone is in the exact right place for them. God places us where we need to be through inspiration. “Love inspires, illumines, designates and leads the way.” (Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy, http://bit.ly/15AJ8nx) God tells us when to move, where to move and it blesses everyone. If God hasn’t told us to get going, that means we need to be right where we are.

How comforting to know that we are always in the exact right place!

Is man animal or spiritual?

When reading about the recent assassination attempt today on Egypt’s interior minister, the question came to mind: is man animal or spiritual?

My prayer went something like this:

Man is not violent; Man does not crave material power; Man is not destructive.
The true Man that God created in His image is infinite, spiritual, compassionate, meek and loves his neighbor as himself.

As the human consciousness wakes up to who we really are spiritually and who our Father-Mother Creator is, we will feel satisfied, whole and complete. Acts of violence, such as this one, will then no longer be possible because man could not have the desire to hurt or injure another.

The US and Syria

When I heard about the tragic events in Syria, and the debate over whether or not America should respond by military strike, I was troubled.

Being such a complex issue, one wants to be sure they have all the facts straight. I know how I feel about the issue personally, but I also know that God governs with greater intelligence, wisdom, justice, mercy, and love than I can.

I pray to see that God is in control and that God governs us with reason. The divine is so much higher than mortal wills and emotions.

One can never be afraid when working towards a decision that is the result of wisdom, integrity and grace. Whatever direction is received through divine wisdom — and reflects more of the qualities of the Kingdom of Heaven such as grace, peace, and love — can be followed fearlessly.

As I follow this issue on CSMonitor.com, I continue to pray to know that regardless of the human outcome, God’s love, compassion and health-giving power can be seen and felt by all.
