He provides everything we need

We’ve all been there. I want this or I want that. The relentless wants and woes that come with humans.

How can we resist the pull of materialism to feeling God’s perfect grace moving in us and providing everything we need?

I’ve had times when I KNOW God is leading and guiding me. I don’t doubt it because I know with every fiber of my being that it is right — that Love is leading me. And it works out great, so much better than I could have planned.

Perfect peace. Assurance. Divine love and care. That’s what God’s leading feels like.

So, how do we feel that? How do we attain a recognition of the divine presence and direction on a more consistent basis?

We can start by understanding God has already created perfection. We aren’t mini creators doing His work for Him.

His work is done, and we have only to avail ourselves of God’s rule in order to receive His blessing…

Avail ourselves of God’s rule — God’s law of harmonious action guiding and governing everyone’s lives. The impartial love of God for ALL!

Only one law, one rule: God’s law of infinite supply, abundance, happiness, love and joy for everyone, everywhere. No one is outside of it.

As we see that God’s infinite love and goodness is there for all humanity (Jesus’ parables remind us that we are all neighbors) we see that it is present for us, too, and we can then claim it and experience it.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

A story worth retelling!

For the past six years, I’ve served as a volunteer chaplain at a jail in Boston. During that time I’ve seen, beyond a doubt, that the qualities of God are alive and well, living and being lived in these places which would otherwise be very dark. Lots of people, when they go to jail, find themselves face to face with their mistakes and their problems, and want very badly to get past them.

Fast asleep

What do you do if you have trouble going to sleep?

Writing in a journal is something that helps me. I commune with God through my journal writing. It helps me get to the heart of whatever might keep me awake.

Recently, I was experiencing some restless nights. After writing a letter to God, I was able to fall fast asleep.

The letter was a few simple, but inspired lines communing with the great heart of infinite Love. Sometimes the letters might be longer. Or they might be an outpouring of gratitude.

Whatever form my journal writing takes, feeling at one with God, the Advocate who always works on our behalf, helps me to fall asleep peacefully.

I’m so grateful for the Christ, the Holy Comforter, which shows us all things.
